Heat treatment (or heat treatment) generally refers to a group of thermal processes in industrial and metalworking applications used to intentionally alter the physical and sometimes chemical properties of materials, usually metals continuous mesh belt furnaces. These changes in physical and chemical properties usually take the form of hardening or softening of the material by heating it in a hot furnace or cooling it to extreme temperatures.
A heat treatment furnace is essentially a heating chamber. a refractory vessel containing both steel and heat. The furnace chamber is heated with a heat source. Depending on the requirements, the heat supply should be adjusted and a continuous mesh belt furnace. More heat is needed during the heating season, but once the stove reaches and is maintained at the required temperature, it will require nearly constant heat.
Heat must be supplied throughout a properly designed furnace to ensure a constant temperature wherever the charge is held. Doors and openings are kept as small as possible to reduce heat loss. Tempering and low-temperature furnaces may require provision for forced air or atmospheric circulation. Carburized parts can be self-quenched in the furnace.
Heat treatment furnaces play a very important role in imparting reproducible performance characteristics to steel parts. Furnace design depends on the material being processed and the specific process that needs to be performed at a specific temperature. If parts need to be heat treated at different temperatures, multiple furnaces may be required as a furnace suitable for use at 1300°C may not be suitable for use at 300°C.
This is because below 700 °C, especially around 300 °C, heat transfer is primarily by conduction and convection. The role of radiation is relatively minor. Box ovens are therefore unsuitable. Requires convection oven. Therefore, it cannot be tempered in a quenching furnace. Modern oven designs are so advanced that there are specific ovens for all temperature ranges. There is no furnace that efficiently performs all heat treatments.
